Investigator competencies
- Ability to distinguish evidence from a very convincing assumption.
- Comfort with crosswords, ciphers, measurements and documents nobody else wanted to read.
- Good written records and a willingness to retain numbers which later appear useless.
- Patience with witnesses, relatives and internal departments.
- Ability to remain professional when the acronym is noticed.
